Ad Aware, Spy bot - search and destroy,Spy ware Doctor are some good spy ware removers. AVG Anti virus and McAfee virus scan Plus 2007 are also supposed to help a lot.check out http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-sAFtLsc8e... for more details.

Probably AVG is one of the better freebies available. Just google it and you'll find alot of info %26 download sites.

Keep in mind - you get what you pay for. To me, I cant put a price on my sensitive data - so to me its worth paying for a well known brand. But I understand free is free :-) Its better then no protection at all.
