yes if you have Comcast High Speed Internet then McAfee is Free , I have McAfee VirusScan, Firewall Plus plus, as a bonus for having McAfee ,HackerWatch is included . The firewall works real well. virus scan works well if you have Windows Xp then they have automatic updates. which you will see with a icon on the bottom right of the screen.

You can if you want worthless protection that isnt a brand name. But if you want brand names like McPhee or Norton, you have to buy them. They're really good.
