Well.....you don't need an antivirus for full protection,you need a suite.Some best suites are Norton Internet Security Suite 2008,Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 7 and BitDefedner Internet Security Suite 2008.For a powerfull protecion against ONLY mallware(viruses,spyware....)get one of the following antiviruses:Kaspersky AntiVir 7 and Norton AntiVirus 2008. If you want free protection against mallware you should get AVG or Avast.

There is NO best anti-virus. Every anti-virus has got it's own pros and cons. Basically all of the anti-viruses detect and remove all 'in the wild' viruses (the viruses that usually attack PC s), so you can use any one of them and stay protected. Here are some tips you should keep in mind:

1.Never use more than one anti-virus. They can cause driver conflicts.

2.Keep your anti-virus updated and scan your computer at least every week.

I've been using kaspersky for over 5 years now, haven't gotten a virus yet.
AVG Free Antivirus.. The best.

or, Norton2008, Nod32, ez,... etc..
kaspersky, mcafee, or norton will provide you with the best protection.
i suggest AVG you can download it for free search for it in google. its really good i have it, it detects every virus. try it.
